Some mountains we consciously lead ourselves towards.

Not all monumental good and bad things happen by chance: more often than not, we get ourselves there intentionally, either for the better or worse.

Regardless, I guess that when it is right up ahead, the only chance is to climb. Sadly, as we start descending one mountain, we’re already setting ourselves for the next one

To many people, sinking into the cold, dark depths of the ocean might come as a numbing, captivating experience. However, better than staying under water, resurfacing offers a vivifying opportunity.

Resurfacing evokes new appreciation for the sun’s light and warmth, accompanied by a blissful breath of fresh air.

It might be okay to sink for a while, but the world above the surface always beckons.

Let’s just say I’m glad I fail. Not that I don’t like to succeed, but getting everything I want sounds like a sure way to destruction…dunno…

I guess it’s just a dangerously double-edged wish.

Definitely worth thinking about though.

It’s a bright day to be Monday…I feel like I could paint the work in bright colors if these were crayons and mine. I’ll use the small crayons. I don’t need that much bright to be happy…happy Monday!

Bugs eat the parts of the leaves that they like; the parts of the leaf they don’t like, they discard as leave behind. I hate bugs, but I wish I could have this ability: using the good things in life to grow, leaving the crappy behind. I have eaten too many whole leaves already (some of them mostly rotten)

We can’t tell you much about Miroco Machiko apart from her being a very talented Japanese artist and illustrator. Nevertheless we just love her charming take on flora in these beautiful paintings. Her use of colour is just stunning and there’s even more delights on her website of a whole menagerie of whimsical animals to admire. Maybe she could design a range of prints based on these paintings, we’re sure they’d be snapped up.
